Matthew Barber is a director for Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors where he is responsible for the investment accounting, financial statement and audit preparation, and investor reporting for the growth private equity, middle market credit, opportunistic credit, and liquid credit funds.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2015, Barber was a senior audit manager in the alternative investments group at KPMG where he specialized in private equity fund, real estate fund, hedge fund and broker-dealer clients. Mr. Barber was an audit manager at Rothstein Kass prior to its acquisition by KPMG in 2014.

Barber earned a B.A. in Economics/Accounting and History from Claremont McKenna College. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
