Ken Carl is a senior managing director on the student housing/multifamily team at KA Real Estate. He leads the team in acquiring, developing and managing student housing and multifamily properties and is responsible for organization, analysis, underwriting, negotiation, deal structuring and execution of investment strategies for acquisitions and development, while working closely with property management to oversee performance of all assets within the portfolio.
Prior to joining KA Real Estate, Carl spent over 20 years at PNC Real Estate. In his most recent role as Southeast regional executive for PNC Real Estate Banking, he was responsible for managing, goal setting and driving investment strategy for a 25-person team across the Southeast. While overseeing a $9B nationwide portfolio comprised of nearly all property types, he spearheaded PNC’s effort to expand its multifamily and student housing platform across the business. In addition, Carl acted as executive sponsor for PNC’s recruiting and development program while also acting as a founding member of PNC Real Estate’s Diversity & Inclusion Council.
Carl earned a B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College.
