Jim Baker is a managing partner and co-head of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors’ energy infrastructure strategies, where he is responsible for providing analytical support for the firm’s investments in energy infrastructure, renewable and other energy-related subsectors. Baker also serves on the Board of Directors and is President of Kayne Anderson Midstream/Energy Fund (NYSE: KMF).

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2004, Baker was a director in the energy investment banking group at UBS Securities LLC. At UBS, he focused on securities underwriting and mergers and acquisitions in the MLP industry. Prior to joining UBS in 2000, Baker was an associate in the energy investment banking group at PaineWebber Incorporated.

Baker earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and an M.B.A. in Finance from Southern Methodist University in 1997.
