Daniel Din

Co-Head, Senior Managing Director, Multifamily Impact Housing, Kayne Anderson Real Estate

Daniel Din is co-head of multifamily impact housing at KA Real Estate where he is responsible for sourcing, analysis, underwriting and execution of investment strategies and works with joint venture partners to oversee day-to-day management of multifamily housing impact investments.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2021, Din had over 14 years real estate experience, most recently as the senior product manager for the Amazon Housing Equity Fund where he led Amazon’s efforts in housing affordability and finance. He was responsible for developing a portfolio of impact housing investments, taking each investment from concept through completion. Prior to Amazon, he was vice president of multifamily underwriting and credit at Freddie Mac, where he oversaw the underwriting and credit of Freddie Mac’s businesses in affordable housing, seniors housing, structured transactions and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity investments. Over his career, he has been involved in more than $100 billion in real estate transactions. Din has a background in innovation and new product development and has been involved in many of the new products and processes at Freddie Mac multifamily.

Din received an MBA in real estate from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Science in information systems technology from George Washington University and a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Virginia.
